Earlier Lord Harris made a statement that we have £200 and Wenger has an open hand in buying any player he wants. Since moving to Emirates, Arsenal have been very tight in transfer market. Wenger's policy has been straight forward; he wants to buy a quality player rather than spending big and buying two or three players. At the moment Arsenal possesses quality players but in my opinion for the title challenge Arsenal need a quality striker and a defender. A quality defensive midfielder would add flavor to Arsenal's title hopes.
"We are in a strong position with a strong squad I am happy with. If the opportunity turns up, we could still do something," said Wenger.
Wenger's Top Signings
Mesut Ozil - Real Madrid, £42.4m, September 2013
Alexis Sanchez - Barcelona, £35m, July 2014
Andrey Arshavin - Zenit St Petersburg, £15m, February 2009
Santi Cazorla - Malaga, £15m, August 2012
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain - Southampton, £15m, August 2011
wenger wants every player to contribute in goals.
"I think we have enough goals in the squad," Wenger added. "What we want is some more goals from some players who are not really strikers. That was our strength traditionally.
"Our target is to improve our number, but you have examples of teams who have scored 90 or 100 goals and have not won the championship. We want to combine good defensive efficiency with 10 more goals."
